Pocket money is required to meet out-of-pocket expenses such as books and stationeries, dresses, toiletries, snacks etc. The expenses have to be planned by students. They write these in a cheque book duly signed by the warden. Then the materials are issued to the children. Besides these routine expenses, pocket money is used to meet out-of-turn health issues and emergencies, outside tours and fines, if any. Pocket money is a running account which parents have to replenish every 6 months to make the required amount. However, in between, if the balance falls below Rs. 1500, then parents are required to replenish the amount on a priority basis.
